~ Canada Day 2009 ~

Breakfast at the FireHall
~

Boat trip to Rainbow Falls

~

Back in the Lower Mainland while Nathan is overseeing our big move to McBride, warranted some "fun in the sun". My Mom, the girls and I spent Canada Day with my sister and her family in Harrison Hot Springs this year. We had pancake breakfast with the firemen at the FireHall, along with a ride in the firetruck! Grandma was all set to take Lennah and Eric along on the ride, until Lennah realized Mommy wasn't going with them. So, I had to go along with the kids (poor me! LOL).
Then we all piled into the boat for a quick boat ride to Rainbow Falls for the day. BBQ on the beach, dinghy ride for the kids and another boat ride to get all three girls to nap. We came back in for pizza before Mom and I left to return home.

We had a great time, thanks to the Letourneaus!

~ Crawling ~

Well it's official - my little girl is crawling. Charley's been seriously cruising around the last couple of days and Momma's not too happy! LOL I'm joking, I wasn't prepared for her to be so mobile so quickly though. Lennah was much more content to sit and play in one spot until she started to bum scoot much closer to her first birthday. So far, so good, we've had no casualties yet. Unless you count the screams when Lennah takes away her toys! Charley seems happy enough to crawl to Mommy, Lennah or her toys and not the kitchen cupboards - yet!

I just had to share a couple shots of my beautiful girls.

~ Tool Time ~

Just this afternoon, Nathan and Lennah installed a new baby gate. I think if Lennah had known what she was actually helping to build, she wouldn't have been so eager to help Daddy. But, what a great helper she was - and she only lost one screw! She hammered, measured and drilled. As you can see, when she figured out what it was all for, she wasn't too pleased. Charley on the other hand, hasn't figured out the gravity of the situation - wait until she really starts crawling around!

~ Bath time ~

We finally gave Charley her first kitchen sink bath the other night. It went over famously, so well in fact, that Lennah had to get in on the action! Lennah has only had one of these herself, her first bath home from the hospital, a very long time ago. Looks like Charley will be having more of these in the future!

~ October in Takla ~

Treehouse

Better late than never. I've wanted to post these landscape photos for quite some time now. Here are some more examples of what a beautiful place we live in. All of these shots were taken in and around Takla Landing this past October.

~ Our Girls ~

A little Christmas collage of the girls in the same dress. Lennah wasn't quite 4 months old and Charley's 5 months in these photos.

4 1/2 months

2 years and 2 months

Lennah and Tak

The girls tonight. They absolutely adore each other.

My little "Superstar". This is how Lenanh had lunch one day. I didn't prompt her with the sunglasses for a photo-op, she asked for them on her own. As a matter of fact, each time I tried to take a picture she would pull the glasses back down over her eyes.

I am so filled with love for these little girls. Each with such a different personality and yet so similar. Charley seems a little easier going, so happy and always ready with a smile. She's also sitting up all on her own now. Lennah's a little more reserved and very willful (the nice term for a child in the throes of the terrible two's). They are beautiful inside and out and I hope they always remember that.
Nathan and I couldn't be happier and more blessed than we are with our beautiful family.

~ Lennah and Brynn ~

Just wanted to share a few pictures of Lennah's little friend Brynn from the Fort. Her dad works with Nathan and the whole family came up when Darren worked some overtime in Takla. These shots were taken in late August at the fossil pit just north of Takla near Lovell Cove.

~ Lennah and Nona ~

These pictures were taken just last Friday at the beginning of our "weekend heat wave". Lennah had so much fun just being outside in the yard with her new trike and her Nona.

~ Lennah - 18 months ~

Need I say anything more? Our beautiful girl 18 to 20 months and counting. She is so lovable, adorable and precocious. Everyday we love her more and more.

Here are some shots of Nathan's latest past-time. Needless to say, he's enjoying semi-retirement!

~ Playdates ~

We just returned home from another trip down to the coast. While Nathan was on course, I took the opportunity to do some visiting with our friends and family. I don't have the pictures from Lennah's playdate with Dylan and Jordan, but they can be viewed on The Simpson's blog, you can find the link to the right of this post. These shots are from my stay with my sister Sheri.
We've got Lennah and Eric playing in the kitchen, getting ready for bed and "drinking and driving" in the backyard. As well as Eric's first ice cream cone. Then there is Will dabbling in a little foot fetish with Addison and the three toddlers sitting together on Eric's couch.

As you can see the kids had a great time. In spite of the chaos, I know us Mom's had some fun too, visiting and letting the kids amuse themselves.

~ A Winter Wonderland ~

These last two shots are of wolf beds on the lake. Something you don't see everyday.

Red Rock

After a windy night, the boys found these giant snowballs that rolled out on the lake.

~ Dominican 2008 ~

So, you think a vacation was needed? The night before our trip.

Nona and Lennah having a little Zoodles for lunch.

Wearing Papa's boots.

Hanging with Uncle Daggle (Dan).

Just a brief recap of our trip to the Dominican in January. We were lucky enough to go before Baby Fox #2 arrives. We left our little munchkin home with Nana, Papa, and Nona again this time. Nathan's sister, Julia also came with us. We had a great time, met new friends, survived the monsoon, and almost married Julia off for 10 cows, 2 chickens and a brick wall!

~ Lennah and Nona ~

Here are some pictures of Lennah with her Nona taken when Lennah was 6 weeks old and just before her first birthday.

~ Food Fight ~

This is the evolution of the "meal" in the last year. From Lennah's first meal of solid food (with Dawson looking for some, too), to her first ever Pirate Pack, to just last night (she even got yogurt on her eyelashes!). I call it the "food fight" for obvious reasons. I should have included pictures of the dogs camped out on the floor below her chair or the floor after she's done throwing half her food on it. Maybe I'll update the collage with those shots next time.
