Lennah's 1st Birthday Party

Daddy, having some "Lennah time" pre-party.

One of the two ice cream cakes for Lennah. The other was chocolate!

Our sweet baby girl in her party dress. The dress lasted all of 15 minutes before I changed her. She was trying to crawl around and play with the other kids and just kept getting caught up in the dress. Wasn't it just precious?

"Happy Birthday to You!" I think Lennah was a little overwhelmed at everyone singing and clapping at her. (How about that t-shirt?)

Didn't take her long to get into it. She was trying to feed her Nona.

Classic Lennah - curled nose, baring all 8 of her teeth!

Some of the friends and family that joined us.

On Sunday, August 19th we celebrated Lennah's first birthday with a party at our townhouse complex. Many thanks to all our friends and family that were able to join us to celebrate such a milestone. It's been an incredible journey, it's hard to believe Lennah is already one year old.

Lennah's First Haircut

Okay, here we go.

The first cut!

Our hairdresser and best friend, Deanna and baby Will.

On August 14th, Lennah got her first haircut. Well, it was really just a little trim to clean up the wispies. It was so cute, we plied her with a cookie so she would hold still, and she still managed to lean away every time Deanna tried to cut a piece. But, not a tear was shed! (Except maybe her Mommy)

Some Updates from the Great White North

The great white fisherman! Nathan is so proud of this catch. This trout weighed in at 15lbs. Apparently, I'm getting a fishing rod on his trip down this week!

Another smaller one.

This shot was taken about 20:30 hours. What a sight. It's almost heavenly.

Awww, another member of Nathan's family.

Beans and Glasses (not gasses!)

Have you ever seen beans 11 inches long before? These pics don't even do these ones justice! And they were good, too.
I couldn't resist taking these pictures. These are glasses that my sister and I used to wear when we were about 7 to 10 years old! If you look closely, you will notice the stylish arms that are attached at the bottom of the giant lenses!!!

If you look even closer you will notice the brand name of "Battlestar Galactica"!!!

Nona's Birthday

Walking around the salon.

Nona and Nana

We celebrated Nona's birthday a couple of days early on August 9th. The Fox family treated Nona to a "spa day", with her getting a stylish new do and a manicure. Can you imagine, it was her first ever manicure! Next time, we won't wait so long to pamper her!

Afterwards, Nona, Nana, Lennah and myself went for lunch at White Spot. Lennah had her very first Pirate Pack. She enjoyed her mac and cheese, sweet potato fries and strawberry yogurt. Happy Birthday Nona!

BC Day in Harrison

"Cruising" around the backyard.

Lennah's first time in the wading pool.

Playing around after dinner.

We spent BC Day in Harrison Hot Springs this year. Lennah and Eric played in Eric's wading pool. She wasn't too sure what to think, it was a little colder than the indoor pool she had become accustomed to. Eric had a blast on the slide and splashing his little cousin.

Wonder Women

Yes, we even stacked them ourselves!

Mom, celebrating with a drink.

Well, we are so proud of ourselves! We are Women, Hear us Roar!!! AAARRRR!

My mom just purchased a front loading washer and dryer from Sears, and we installed it ourselves! To clarify, we also stacked them ourselves! No men, no help of any kind, and believe it or not, NO FIGHTING! Boy, is it nice to not be a bratty teenager anymore.
