More Teeth

This just in - Lennah's cut her second front tooth. On her Grandpa's Birthday! That officially makes 4 teeth - 2 up and 2 down. My little girl is growing up!

The Beast

Bye, bye old girl

Hellooo Gorgeous!!!

Well, say goodbye to the Dodge and HELLO to the new Beast!

This is our latest acquisition (member of the family).

We just purchased a white 2007 Ford F350 XLT Super Crew longbox with a 6 Litre Diesel Powerstroke motor. I can hear all the boys grunting a la Tim Allen.

We thought with a move to Takla Lake and driving a 230km logging road in and out of the town, this would be more appropriate. Nathan's also hoping to get a camper and try to entice me out into the bush camping. Isn't that what living in Takla's going to be like? LOL

I'm sure Nathan will also be making the family in Logan Lake proud after he "defected" and bought a Dodge last time! This one's bigger and noisier than those F150's. They don't call them rattlers for no reason!

We still need to buy a canopy for it and we received $1000 in accessories courtesy Ford that will have to be installed next time we travel through Prince George. That was the next best thing about the deal. The salesman delivered it down to us. Saved us a two day trip to Prince George and back.

Transferred to Takla Landing

Relax, Lennah's not really driving - yet.

Well, it's official. Nathan has accepted a transfer to Takla Landing, BC. It's a small reservation of 150 residents 230 km NW of Fort St. James (approximately 4 hours into the bush from Prince George).

Yes, it's in the middle of nowhere. It's a 2 year Isolated Post. Which means in two years when he's done, we get our choice of detachments in BC! Yeahhh, no more Whalley. We get a double-wide trailer to live in, in a fenced compound attached to the detachment. Dawson will finally have some space to roam. I will be taking the 2 years off for care and nurturing to raise our daughter (gotta love the federal government).

I can't wait to slow down and just be a family. Nathan is really looking forward to the type of policing he's always wanted to do - community, and hopefully make a real difference. Nathan will be reporting for duty by the end June and I will be following soon after. Or, as soon as Deanna has her baby!

We will be keeping our townhouse for at least a year and renting it out. Best to keep our foot in the door back here on the coast. I've attached a couple of pics from our trip up there in January. -25 without any windchill and it took 20 hours to get there with baby, dog, snowstorm and flat tire.

Our Water Baby

There she is, our little water baby. Lennah is the star of her "Splashers" swimming class. We attend classes Mondays and Wednesdays at the YMCA. She loves to kick and splash and even go underwater. As a matter of fact, last Wednesday when these photos were taken, Lennah jumped back in the pool - literally. Me, I jumped back in shrieking and pulled her out. Lennah, not even fazed was trying to swim, kicking and using her arms (not flailing about). She looked at me as if to ask why I was making her get out of the pool! Believe it or not, the last photo was taken right after she jumped in - really looks scared, huh?
